FAQs

I don’t know if it’ll be right for me and my garden?? – We always do a free survey. We can then recommend how and where your building could go. We’ll take some pictures and then send you what it might look like in situ, at no cost and no obligation.

Do I need planning permission? - In order to be exempt from planning regulations garden buildings need to be no more than 2.5m in height to the eaves, GardenWave is 2.36m at its highest point to the base, an Office Wave depends on your specification. An average is used if the ground is not level. Also buildings must be constructed no less than 1m from the boundary of your property.

This is useful informatioon about planning permission .. https://www.propertyreporter.co.uk/property/do-you-need-planning-permission-for-garden-buildings.html

Can GardenWaves be larger or smaller than those shown? - There're a lot of things we can change depending on what you're looking for, just let us know your ideas.

How long does it take to build? - Once we have your specifications, colours, finishes, extras, wiring requirements and switch & socket placement, we handcraft your building to order in our workshops. We'll then deliver and assemble your new building over 5 days. Electricity, telephone and internet cabling may need to be trunked to your building in advance of the build. We aim to have everything in and finished within 6 weeks of ordering.

Why don't I need a hard standing base? - The entire floor area of all our buildings is constructed from pre-treated C24 timber joists, to the standard of floors in your house. This means that the building supports itself without the need for a concrete slab in your garden. Adjustable pads level the base as below. These pads can be buried or hidden.

What if I move home, or want to move my GardenWave? - We can do this for you.

Do I need other tradesmen? - Your building will be wired and routed when it is assembled in your space. However final connections and cabling will need to be carried out by the certifying engineer. In this instance there would be a need for an electrician or other tradesmen depending on your needs.

The GardenWave sweeps from left to right, can it be done the other way around? - Yes, we can do this with no trouble, and no extra cost.
