OfficeWave: What We're Made Of...

The Wall

OfficeWaves have a fully insulated and waterproof cavity for each four walls. This insures that you have building that can be heated up quickly and hold the heat just as well. Our layers consist of:

  • Your choice of exterior Cladding (Shiplap, Black Barn, Green Featheredge)

  • Breathable Membrane (Allows wood to breathe without letting any moisture in)

  • CLS Studding (Structural studding used to construct houses)

  • Recycled Insualtion (Non-Flammable, Rot-proof, Odourless)

  • Damp Membrane (Complete Waterproof Barrier)

  • 9mm Plywood Board (Standard finish, can be upgraded with Interior Cladding)

The Roof

OfficeWaves also have a similar but heavier make up within the roof cavity.

​

  • EPDM Rubber Roof (One piece so there are not joins and therefore no leaks)

  • 18mm OSB Board (OSB board is strong, weatherproof and long-lasting)

  • Recycled Insualtion (Non-Flammable, Rot-proof, Odourless)

  • C16 Exterior Structural Joist (C16 is strong, reliable and suitable for keeping to roof in place)

  • 9mm Plywood Board (Standard finish, can be upgraded with Interior Cladding)

Insulated Floor (option)

With the OfficeWave, we consider this an all-year-round usable building. The insulated floor is an upgrade from standard softwoood floorboards and includes:

​

  • Sunken base (With 150mm C16 Joists to home the insulation)

  • 18mm OSB Board (This keeps the floor on top from shirnking and expanding)

  • Celotex Insulation (50mm, Moisture proof to prevent rot and mould)

  • 18mm T&G Chipboard (Thick moisture proof layer, ready to lay floor straight on top)

Adjustable Ground Screws

Office Waves do not require a concrete base to be built in your garden. Instead we use Ground Screws, these allow us to:

​

  • Build without a Concrete foundation

  • Easily Level and Re-level the building

  • Move the building without leaving a footprint

  • Keeps destruction and Landscaping to a minimal.

Pre-Fabrication and Assembly

When you order your OfficeWave, we take your specification and Pre-fabricate the building in our workshop into Five or six Pieces. When we deliver your build, we will deliver your sections that will fit together like a Jigsaw (but easier!).
